While going through tripod photos of the feeding station, I found a bunch from the spring that never got shared. So, for the next while, while it’s cold outside, I will be posting pictures from May and June!
To start with, we had a new visitor to our feeding station that we had never seen before. Appropriately enough, this is a Red Headed Woodpecker.

It came just a few times in the spring, and then disappeared again, so I’m glad we got a lot of good photos during the few days it did visit!
Gorgeous.

Wonderful picture of the Red Headed Woodpecker. I believe they are rare.

I just had to go and check! They were de-listed as “threatened” in 2018, and are now listed as “least concern.” So that’s good news!
