When the girls were rearranging the shed to make more room, they found the radio/record player console that was a figure in the living room for decades. Sadly, it no longer works.
Looking inside, there were several records. A couple of 78s and a couple of 45s. I had to rescue them!
Looking at one of the 45s, I started to laugh and sing “Who Stole the Keeshka?”
They thought I was kidding.
Nope. It’s a real thing. Was incredibly popular at socials for a while.
Meanwhile, the girls have been working hard upstairs and have transformed their shared bedroom into a magical fairyland.
The garlands and lights surround the room.
The second floor has never looked this good!
There is, however, a problem with the floor in the other room.
If my daughter doesn’t brace herself while at her art table, she starts to roll away.
I am looking forward to getting things unpacked, then starting to do something about the main floor. We can’t paint or do the floors; that will have to wait probably a few years. But we can start putting up our own pictures and art. Plus, we can get creative as we slowly replace the things we had to get rid of.
A lottery win would come in really handy right now.
I suppose I should buy some tickets. Lol
