I just had to share this picture, that I took out my bedroom window, just before 2am.
This photo has only been resized, and was taken with my phone on the auto setting.

I could not believe how bright it was out there! There was a partial lunar eclipse last night, though this was taken well past that, with a full moon and mostly clear skies. It was so gorgeous outside!
Then there’s this, taken from our bathroom window…

There is Nikki the Nose, on my dad’s walker, and Ferdinand, under the transfer chair.
We’ll have a bit of a mess to clean up in the spring, but it’s worth it to give them some shelter from the cold – and for the entertainment value!
One of the things we’ve done to keep the outside door into the sun room from being flung about by the wind, yet open just enough for the cats to squeeze through, it tie it off with a slip knot to the hand bar in the door frame. I leave the doors open until I am done my rounds, then tied it off before doing back into the house through the Old Kitchen.
Yesterday, as I was coming back into the sun room, there was a dashing of cats inside, and I caught a flash of Ferdinand, disappearing under the benches. Once I was inside and starting to tie off the door, it was too much for him, and he tried to make an escape.
I was, however, in the doorway, so he tried to go out through the side.
Where there is a window.
There was this amazing sound as his head slammed into the glass.
Then he ran out at my feet.
At least he doesn’t seem to have injured himself
What a silly kitty.
