It’s been a long time since I was able to stop to get pictures of the bison while they are at the fence!

There are so many babies this year! ❤

Gosh, they are beautiful creatures!
Though I think they lost a bull. I saw a local notice being shared on Facebook, warning people in the area to be on the lookout for it, and to stay well away from it. This is the only bison ranch I know of in this area, so I’m guessing it’s theirs. Hopefully, it has been found and brought home by now!
The Re-Farmer
Oh, my. I had no idea you were close to Bison. A blogger I follow was recently at Yellowstone and had some stunning shots.

These are part of a herd on a ranch for commercial meat sales. They get rotated out to other pastures, but I have no idea where. This place is on just a quarter section. Not a lot of land for bison!

What interesting timing! I was just thinking last night during insomnia that I wonder if there are still wild bison around. Are bison all domesticated now, do you know??

I don’t think you can domesticate a bison. The closest to it is controlling small herds.
There are still wild bison, though. Mostly in national parks, where they can be protected, as far as I know.
