Okay, I just had to do it. I had to include a picture of Cabbages.
The cat lady messaged me with a picture, and I’ve cropped out anything remotely identifying.
Just look at that face!!! Those eyes!!

Apparently, she is very chatty. She’s never been particularly vocal, but with so many other cats around, she probably had no reason to be.

She was like this, when the cat lady took her. Losing weight. Increasingly lethargic. Needing to be fed with a syringe. We had no idea how close to death she was. Thanks to the cat lady, Cabbages is still with us, doing SO much better, and has a forever home waiting for her.
What an amazing woman.

WONDERFUL!!!!
I can understand why you didn’t realize how sick she was. Her eyes are still bright in the “before” photo!

Yes… Except she was doing. Lot of just staring.

3 fyi’s: the linked post mentions “upper right” but even in web view, I can’t see that link.
The link at the bottom of the post is also hard to see… I’d bold it.
I’d also link directly to the fundraiser. The extra step may be preventing donations.

Thanks for letting me know.
There is a direct link in the green box. I will try and look at it in different modes instead of just desktop view and see what I need to adjust.

Ah, on mobile view, it’s down under the post previews on the main page, or under the comments section when reading an individual post. I’ll make a change in the menu to call attention to it.

Awesome! I can usually see things if I switch to web view but couldn’t here. On phones, web view will usually keep displaying more posts instead of any widgets.
I encourage you to post a straight up “please help” post with big bold link. It was hard for me when I had to admit I needed help (I know yours is a wish, not direct need)… but when I did, I collected over $1,000 when my goal had been $375!!

.. speaking of which, I realized I still have about $65 of that money. It was meant for cats so I’ll donate that this week too. Current conversion is a little over $80.

Well, this is frustrating. There is a donation widget available from Ko-Fi that would allow people to donate right from the blog – but WordPress says I have to upgrade my account to use it!

Yeah…wp disabled almost all widgets a year or more ago.
Export is still avail in Tools but it no longer works.

Ko-Fi has code for a pop up donation panel that is not a widget; I should be able to just copy and past the code into any blog post. When I do, nothing shows. WP is not Ko-Fi friendly!

Wp is no longer anything-friendly! But I have no right to bitch about a freebie.

Yeah, well, I’m paying for mine. Just not at the level they want me to!

I JUST figured out that your fundraising site is not Koe-Fi but Kof-ee… thus why it said I’d bought you a cup!!

LOL!! I am always pronouncing it Koe-fee instead of coffee. It took my daughter, who has an account connected to her art business, to explain it to me. 😀
