My daughter came to me last night with some concerns over strange and severe dizzy spells.
Of course, my plans got changed.
We are now sitting at the nearest walk in clinic, a 45 minute drive away. We’ve been waiting for almost anout 1 1/2 hours, now.
On the plus side, the doctor she will be seeing is accepting new patients. Depending on how things go, she may later book an official meet and greet appointment. I’ve heard good things about this doctor.
I still need to pick up more kibble and a few groceries. Where we do that will depend on how things go here, and how my daughter is feeling.
I’m just really glad the weather and road conditions are good. Other parts of the province got hit with a storm white out conditions, still ongoing this morning. We are currently clear, and the highways are dry.
We shall see how the day goes!
The Re-Farmer

I hope you get some answers for your daughter and she feels better.

Thanks! We are still waiting, and she’s feeling like she shouldn’t have bothered. She has little faith in doctors. With good reason, I have to say. π

Iβm right there with her. When you donβt get real answers it seems like a waste of time

We’ve had that for years with my husband. My daughters watched while the focus was always on his weight and blood sugars, instead of why he was there. He tried to be the good patient, and went along. For two years. By the time he was finally sent to a spine specialist, it was too late.

My grandmother was told something similar when she was having terrible pain (from what was likely an autoimmune condition) and was told by a doctor to βlose some tonnageβ
I am sorry you all went through that.

Oh, yes. Losing weight is the miracle cure, dontcha know! Another reason my daughter dislikes doctors. She has PCOS, which has a symptom of weight gain and the inability to lose weight. So being told to lose weight as a cure for everything is very frustrating, indeed.

Hormonal disregulation is a huge issue in our generation, most likely due to the food we eat and environmental factors.

I’ve always been a from-scratch cook. She has had hirsutism from birth. There is a genetic component, and I think it may run in my husband’s side.

hopefully you find some answers and your daughter gets better; as others have sid, the answers may not come from the docs – sto;; it’s good to check what little they can. I have reason to re-read the Simonton approach: go see the inner doctor! Best –
