I headed out early to see my husband in the hospital, and did the feeding of critters before I left.
When I opened the doors into the sun room, this is what I found, staring at me!

With all the driving around we’ve been doing lately, one of the things I’ve noticed is how much standing water there is this spring, compared to our first spring here, last year.
In fact, we even have a pond in the old hay yard again.
Continue readingMy daughter had her first Sunday shift today; at only 4 hours long, we left later and I simply stayed in town until she was done.
As we were getting ready to head out, I popped out to see if there were any cats to say hello to.
I saw none, but heard a noise above my head. It took a bit, but I found her – Rolando Moon had been on the roof, and was making her way down the tree towards me.
She paused at their favourite sitting spot, where I could reach to pet her – and get a few pictures that I just love and have to share! These are in chronological order. :-D

That’s just how she rolls! :-D
It was quite a lovely day today, and the cats were enjoying it as much as they could! By the time I got those pictures, I had three other cats come out to see what was going on!
After I dropped my daughter off at work, I went to the hospital to see my husband. He was just finishing up lunch, and told me they were soon going to move him to a private room!
Clearly, he’s going to be there for a while.
Continue readingThis morning, we were greeted with falling snow and just enough of a wind to be annoying. :-D
The outside cats were not impressed.

Some mornings are a lot more exciting than others.
That’s not always a good thing!
I just had to get a tire replaced on that van this morning – and probably should not have been driving on it at all!
Continue readingToday was our Costco shopping day. This was my splurge for the month. :-)
Continue readingAside from critter pictures, I haven’t been posting much about how things are going. Mostly because, it’s all pretty mundane right now. It’s been so awesome to have the warmer temperatures, and I’m so looking forward to being able to continue working on the yard!
The outside cats are appreciating the warmer temperatures, too.

Bob was just rolling all over the step, after greeting me as I finished up my rounds. :-D
Continue readingToday, I went out to use The Beast. We haven’t had more snow, but I wanted to clear some paths that were blown over, widen a parking area, and make the path to the fire pit wide enough for my husband’s walker. We’re planning to have a cookout on the weekend. All this, I could do with the little electric snow blower, but is just much easier with the big beast.
Plus, I just wanted to use it, now that it’s running again.

Just look at that beautiful, shiny new carburetor! :-D
Of course, things just had to go wrong, right? LOL

The family had quite the day, yesterday. One in which my husband and I both found ourselves feeling incredibly grateful for so many things.
Long story short; my husband ended up in the hospital, for about 24 hours, in the emergency ward. He is now home with appropriate medication and happily sleeping in his own bed again.
Continue readingToday was going to be a day of out and about-ing, so I made sure to do the rounds a bit earlier this morning.
A quick glance out the bathroom window showed me that Slick was already waiting for breakfast. :-D
As I came out with their food and warm water, I found Nicky the Nose making his way out the door, while Slick slunk under the blankets and benches.
Part of my usual routine these days is to turn the electric heating pad back on for another 2 hours, while doing the cats’ food and water, then doing the deer and bird feed.
I came back to this.
