Another photo of some strange deer my daughter got for me, early in March.
It’s like they’re greeting each other while changing shifts. :-D
The incoming deer has some very distinctive eyebrows. I think it is one that we saw about this time last year, too! I should go back over my old photos and see.
My daughter had her first Sunday shift today; at only 4 hours long, we left later and I simply stayed in town until she was done.
As we were getting ready to head out, I popped out to see if there were any cats to say hello to.
I saw none, but heard a noise above my head. It took a bit, but I found her – Rolando Moon had been on the roof, and was making her way down the tree towards me.
She paused at their favourite sitting spot, where I could reach to pet her – and get a few pictures that I just love and have to share! These are in chronological order. :-D
That’s just how she rolls! :-D
It was quite a lovely day today, and the cats were enjoying it as much as they could! By the time I got those pictures, I had three other cats come out to see what was going on!
After I dropped my daughter off at work, I went to the hospital to see my husband. He was just finishing up lunch, and told me they were soon going to move him to a private room!
My daughter saw a strange group of deer coming into the feeding area and got some shots for me. Including this deer with larger antler nubs than the little guy that normally visits with his mum. :-)
One nice thing about no leaves on the lilacs this time of year; we can see the birds in them, better. :-)
Things are quite a bit warmer, as I post this photo; the chickadees look so much smaller, now that they don’t have to puff themselves up like this! :-)
When the piebald deer we saw last year, visited us again this year, I mused if another notable deer would return.
Yesterday evening, we had 6 deer outside our window. With the light fading, I took some video, as my phone camera automatically compensates for low light better in video, and hoped for the best.
Lo and behold, on reviewing the video, there I saw a butt with no tail!
Detail had returned.
I am so happy to know we have repeat visitors from a year ago! :-)
